please contact our business development team.
Service areas include:
DNA
Profiling
We can process DNA samples and generate confirmatory results using
most internationally used forensic marker systems and analysis
methods including; UK (SGM+ STR kit), USA (CODIS STR marker),
Germany (DAD STR marker). Our laboratory handles extended STR
marker sets in paternity cases and also has vast experience in
LCN analyses. Other expertise areas include various Y-STR marker
systems and mitochondrial DNA.
Forensic Toxicology
4N6 provides toxicology services in association with our partners
covering both ante-mortem and post mortem investigations. Using
a variety of analytical techniques including gas chromatography
- mass spectrometry (GS - MC) we can provide investigative solutions
on a bespoke basis to fit the needs of individual cases. Our testing
services can facilitate a large array of sample types including
body fluids, hairs and other substances including nails to confirm
the presence of compounds such as:
• Therapeutic drugs
• Drugs of abuse
• Alcohol
• Solvents
• Poisons
• Carbon monoxide (required for fire related deaths).
Isotope testing - Isotrace
Continuous Flow Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (CF-IRMS) is a
powerful forensic technique using signals recorded by living organisms
such as human beings or plants. As a result, we have been assisting
several UK law enforcement agencies by providing valuable intelligence
based on stable isotope fingerprinting of human tissue on geographic
origin and life history of murder victims and unidentified persons.
Our lab team also uses Isotrace within toxicology for the identification
of unknown substances such as illicit drugs. For more information
